Services and Features

From the first meeting with a customer through years of ongoing system support, IPS collaborates with our partners and customers to fulfill every HSIA need.  Our services include assessing, designing, and installing HSIA systems that fit the property's requirements.  Listed are typical installation and support services offered by IPS.

System Design:  From information gathered from the site  survey and/or consultations with the property, IPS can design the system to suit your specific requirements.  Every property is different and therefore every system design is unique.  System designs may be based on wire or wireless solutions, or a combination of both.

Internet Access:

1.  True plug-and-play, no reconfiguration of users PC.

2.  VPN support - support for a wide range of VPN's

3.  Bandwidth management - ability to control bandwidth utilization (optional)

System Installation:  IPS offers turnkey installations of the HSIA system closely monitored by a dedicated project manager.  Our project manager will schedule all phases, any items needed, and he will work closely with the customer and other service providers to oversee the completion of your High-Speed Project. We also are aware that hotel properties are unique to other environments and require specific installation skills.  IPS is focused on the hospitality market and is sensitive to these requirements.  This minimizes guest disruption while deploying the HSIA system.  This is top priority for IPS.  Typical deployment tasks may consist of, but may not be limited to the following:

1.  Equipment ordering and tracking.

2.  Turn-up and test of ISP circuit

3. Network equipment turn-up and programming

4.  Access server programming

5.  MDF work (if necessary)

6.  CAT-5e or CAT-6 cable (IPS is able to complete all needed wire and cabling)

7.  IPS will rewire as needed to bring cable to HS CAT5 requirement

8.  Deploy guest rooms, meeting rooms, and business centers

9.  Establish hotel administration staff connection

10.  Test connections, features, and applications

11.  Train hotel staff in use of system

12.  Hand off system to IPS customer care control center

In- Room Collateral:  Typically will have an instruction card which provides instructions in the use of the service and a toll free number to call for assistance.  The hotel may provide this collateral or IPS can furnish it.

Training:  Staff training is the final essential component for insuring a successful high-speed implementation.  A trained staff is a sure fire way to promote the service and increase user satisfaction.  IPS provides on-site training tailored to the hotel's environment, audience, and timetables.

24/7 Customer Care:  Our 24/7 Help Desk serves as the initial contact for all guest room and meeting room issues and will provide level one and level two support for your system.  Guest call a toll-free number and are instructed on system use issues.  This point of contact will be used to resolve any user-based issues.  In addition to the above services, the Help Desk also acts as property staff level one support for defective equipment and a single point of contact for repair and outage notifications.  IPS has built a solid reputation by providing trained, certified service personnel stations to cover client needs throughout Florida.  This service is available 24/7, 365 days a year by IPS local technicians located in your area.

Network Operation Center:  IPS service are proactive, not simply break-fix, and involves continuous monitoring of the HSIA network.  Should a network problem occur, the NOC will, in most cases, anticipate and repair the problem before it impacts the business.  We will immediately notify the proper personnel with instructions and support to remedy all network faults, both physical and virtual.  IPS NOC allows 27/7, 365 monitoring of network devices and links and real time notification when a network device or link has failed.
